“Write it all down. Without accurate records of the past, how can men and women be expected to avoid making serious mistakes in the future?” — Bokonon (Kurt Vonnegut, Cat’s Cradle)

“Skip. Yeah, I know it’s lame, whatever. But skip anyway. Breathe. Live.” — It’s Kind of A Funny Story (in theaters 10/8/10; based on the novel by Ned Vizzini)

“It’s all in the hook, which is simply: ‘I wish he was my boyfriend.’ Side note: Technically, the line should be ‘I wish he WERE my boyfriend.’ It’s called the subjunctive, people!!!” — Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, about his favorite Best Coast track, “Boyfriend.”

This isn't procrastination.

I’m actually trying to do work.

Really.

I am.

But, you see, it’s too quiet.  I need music to listen to if I’m going to do any sort of research.

But none of the thousands of songs on mine or my roommate’s iPods are quite right.  Plus I’m kind of bored with Pandora.

So, obviously, I need to create a last.fm account.  It’s a study aid.  Really.  And it’s disgraceful that I’ve gone this long without one anyways.  It’s a necessity.

But there’s a problem.  The only username I use is already taken.

So now, when I really, really want to be doing homework, I have to try to come up with a username I don’t hate.  Or else it will be eerily silent in here and I’ll never get anything done again, ever.

Junior year is so demanding.

I work here now. → weeklydig.com

And, once again, I’m using the word “work” because I hate “intern” as a verb.
