Knight(mare) and Day
Hey, if you like bad puns enough that you’re reading beyond the title here, maybe you also like horrible movies.
In which case, go out and purchase “Knight and Day,” which is now out on DVD. It might be the worst 110 minutes of film to hit cinemas this year.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, here’s the review of it I wrote this summer, which, oops, um, never ended up...
A Thanksgiving Snapshot
Me: I'm thankful for all the fabulous opportunities my parents give me and have always given me.
My dad: That's it? That's all you've got? I thought you'd go for like five minutes or something.
Me: Oh, and Blackberry Messenger.

“Londonderry’s five orchards – Woodmont, Sunnycrest, Elwood, Moose Hill, and Merrill’s in North Londonderry – are a vital part of what makes Londonderry special. Londonderry’s apple growers not only contribute to the local economy, but also provide valuable open spaces. Londonderry’s Apple Way, a designated New Hampshire Scenic and Cultural Byway, winds past orchards, old...
Shameless Self-Promotion
“Sure, you could make beer look classy just by pouring it into a champagne flute and pretending, but some occasions call for a little more elegance. Samuel Adams and Weihenstephan breweries solve the beer lover’s age-old problem of how to incorporate beer into a champagne toast, uncorking Infinium, their new collaborative brew, for the start of the holiday season.”

Goodbye, Bradley. May you find peace...
...plus a geography lesson for Target.

Lessons from Transcribing
Things I learned and/or realized while transcribing an interview today:
- I can’t stand transcribing.
- The GChat ‘busy’ icon is super ineffective, because it just prompts people to message you things like “Are you there?” or “You’re not really busy. Liar.”
- Transcription goes much more efficiently when you don’t have to hold a minirecorder...
Judging libraries by their covers
This is the part of the Boston Public Library that I like and think is architecturally stunning.
This is the part of the Boston Public Library that I despise and think looks like a parking garage.
This is the parking garage of the Kansas City (Missouri) Public Library that I think is unfairly awesome.
Today, my seven or so years of karate actually came in handy.
In a fight against my building’s clothes dryer.
Turns out, a couple roundhouse kicks are all it takes to dislodge the quarter said machine tries to steal from me each time I do laundry.
Meanwhile, the fifteen or so years of education are not quite doing their part, as I apparently think it’s acceptable/a good idea to kick...
